Personal training

One-on-one coaching in the outdoor space, built around your goals, your history and your technique.

What it is

Your session, your pace, a coach on you.

Personal training at MVMT is the closest version of the work: one coach, one athlete, the same outdoor space.

It suits people who want more attention than a group allows, who are working around an old injury, or who want a block of training written and watched by a coach.

Who it is for

This is your room if…

  • People returning to training after time away or an injury.
  • Lifters who want their technique reviewed rep by rep.
  • Anyone who prefers not to train in a group.
  • People with a specific goal that needs a specific plan.

The shape of it

What it looks like.

Formats vary by coach and by the day. These are the parts that stay the same.

  1. 01

    Check-in

A short conversation about how you feel, what you did last time and what today is for.

  2. 02

    Warm-up

Prep that fits the session rather than a generic routine.

  3. 03

    Main work

The strength or conditioning work of the day, coached and adjusted in real time.

  4. 04

    Review

Notes on what worked, what to change and what comes next.

Questions

Before you start.

Short answers to the things people ask first. If yours is not here, call (858) 216-6087.

How do I start personal training?

Call (858) 216-6087 or use the form on the contact page. Tell us your goal and the times that work for you.

Can I combine it with group classes?

Yes. Personal training and group classes are separate programs; call to talk through the right mix for your week.

Do you work around injuries?

Tell us about your history before the first session. If something needs a clinician rather than a coach, we will say so.
